
“Song of the Day” is a special section where I post a single song on any given day. It can can be a well-know hit, or it can be a truly hidden gem you’ve most likely never heard before. It may be a song by a famous band, or it can be a not-so-well-known artist. One thing for sure though – each of these songs is special in its own way.
If you want to be surprised by an unknown track, this is a great place for it. Discover new music and new bands. You never know – any of these hits may become YOUR song of the day.
July 27, 2025. “Big In Japan“ by Guano Apes. If you haven’t lived through 90s you might have missed this band and their SUPERB debut album.
July 14, 2025. “Brave New World“ by Greta Van Fleet. I’ve never thought that I’ll hear a modern band with a classic ’70s rock vibe. Yet here we are with this fascination group.
July 8, 2025. “Fell On Black Days“ by Soundgarden. One of the greatest hits from this iconic band and Chris Cornell. Not a light composition, you gotta be in a mood for music like this.
July 2, 2025. “Till Tomorrow“ by Don McLean. A beautiful folk song with soft instruments and amazing lyrics. On of his best compositions, on par with hits like “American Pie” and “Vincent.”
June 21, 2025. “Road Trippin’“ by Red Hot Chili Peppers. The song I always had in the band’s TOP 10 hits. A special track for personal reasons.
June 16, 2025. “The Holy Hour“ by the Cure. A legendary band that influenced so many musicians, and pioneered entire subgenres of music. This song might is a gem – it has one of the hardest hitting bass guitar you’ll ever hear.
June 12, 2025. “Nightcall“ by London Grammar. Spectacular composition, never gets old. I also include this awesome track in my list of the band’s TOP 10 Songs, check what other hits got in there.
May 3, 2025. “My Room“ by Timecop1983 (feat. Oscar). A perfect unwind song for a relaxing evening of a tough day.
April 27, 2025. “Silver Joy“ by Damien Jurado. A beautiful song from the drama/comedy movie The Holdovers (2023). Can’t recommend it enough.
April 10, 2025. “Lost in Despair“ by Ensiferum. One of the best songs by these Finnish masters of melodic folk death metal.
March 31, 2025. “Bright Eyes“ by Blind Guardian Masterpiece. Absolute masterpiece. The melody and the instruments are perfect. So is Hansi Kürsch vocal.
March 26, 2025. “Set Your Eyes to Zion“ by P.O.D. Extremely underrated track. A jewel in the band’s legacy. One of my all-time favorite.
March 19, 2025. “Over The madness“ by Paradise Lost. The album came out 20 years ago, and this track features one of the best metal solos ever.
January 30, 2025. “Hold On“ by Limp Bizkit. Excellent mellow track. Shows a different side of this iconic nu metal band.
January 25, 2025. “The Man Who Sold The World” by Nirvana. One of the most iconic songs performed by the legendary grunge band at their MTV Unplugged concert.
January 16, 2025. “Dreams” by The Cranberries. Everybody knows superhit “Zombie”, but the band’s debut album is just phenomenal. And Dreams is one of its best songs.
