If you’re tired of the same washy lyrics, dumb down melodies, and repetitive beats in all those uninspired songs from the boring Top Charts — and instead want to enjoy truly unique music — there’s a band that will satisfy your audiophile appetite. I’m talking about London Grammar, an amazing group that created their own beautiful sound and released several incredible albums.

Welcome to your first day of being a new London Grammar fan 😎

London Grammar Best Songs

What separates London Grammar from many other contemporary artists is that they developed their own style of music. They weren’t afraid to experiment, and they believed in themselves! And it definitely paid off — they came up with a truly one-of-a-kind sound. Once you hear it, you’ll always recognize their music.

The absolutely marvelous vocals by Hannah Reid, combined with an intricate blend of genres like indie, trip-hop, electropop, and dream soul, make their music incredibly enjoyable.

I’ve picked the 10 best London Grammar songs that, in my playlist, represent their ultimate creative legacy. At least so far — because I truly believe they have more amazing music ahead. And when they do put our new records, I’ll be sure to update this list. Meanwhile, here’s the chart.

10. London Grammar – All My Love

A song that rarely makes it into people’s lists of the band’s top hits, but in my opinion, is criminally underrated. It’s not a typical track for London Grammar — the pacing, the lyrics, and even the vocals are a bit different from their signature sound. Which makes “All My Love” even more special. It reminds me of magical Elven singing from Tolkien’s stories.

9. London Grammar – Strong

“Strong” is one of the most popular songs by the band. It was released on their debut album and featured in a couple of TV shows. London Grammar even chose to perform it on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, so no wonder it got a lot of airtime. Rightfully so, I might add — it’s one of their staple hits.

8. London Grammar – Californian Soil

London Grammar’s third album, Californian Soil, didn’t receive as much love from fans as the band might have hoped. But the title track is definitely one of the best songs on that record. The instrumentation and production slightly resemble “Teardrop” by Massive Attack, giving it a calming, atmospheric feel.

7. London Grammar – Oh Woman Oh Man

“Oh Woman Oh Man,” from the second album Truth Is a Beautiful Thing (2017), is a beautiful display of the melodic talent this band is known for. And of course, the vocals are just as captivating as always. This song is a journey — and one you’ll thoroughly enjoy.

6. London Grammar – Nightcall

“Nightcall,” from the debut record If You Wait (2012), was one of the first songs I ever heard from London Grammar. It’s a cover of the extraordinary track by Kavinsky — and man, the band nailed it! Their version is obviously based on the original, but thanks to very expressive vocals and great arrangements, it feels like a superb standalone composition. A song you can’t help but to listen on repeat.

5. London Grammar – Darling Are You Gonna Leave Me

Another classic hit from the debut album. “Darling Are You Gonna Leave Me” is, in a sense, a quintessential London Grammar track. It showcases their unique blend of pop, electronica, and indie. The lyrics are also amazing. It’s perfect for a chill road trip or relaxing after a hard day’s work.

4. London Grammar – Non Believer

“Non Believer” is easily one of their best compositions. The tempo is exceptional — somehow it manages to feel both slow and fast at the same time. The vocals are fabulous — Hannah never disappoints! The lyrics are excellent as well. The whole track is super addictive. You just can’t get enough of it.

3. London Grammar – Hey Now

One thing most fans of the band agree on is that the debut record was absolutely packed with groundbreaking hits. “Hey Now” is one of them. Once again, it gives us the pleasure of enjoying crystal-clear vocals and soft, minimalist instrumentation. The gentle touch of electronica feels like the final piece of the puzzle in the song’s structure.

2. London Grammar – Lose Your Head

“Lose Your Head” is 100% one of the catchiest songs from the group. It’s unbelievably easy to vibe with — light, fresh, and playfully dynamic. Honestly, it was one of the fastest picks for this Top 10 chart. You simply can’t leave it out.

1. London Grammar – Wasting My Young Years

“Wasting My Young Years” is such a beautiful song. The incredible way Hannah Reid’s voice adapts to the lyrics, the shifting pace throughout the track, the perfectly balanced instrumental volume… I mean, it’s a flawless collaboration of vocals, instruments, and lyricism. Without a doubt, London Grammar’s most iconic hit.
