Seether Best Songs – Top 15 Hits Playlist
Seether is an iconic rock band from South Africa. I’ve been a fan for nearly 20 years now, and after listening to hundreds of music groups I still think Seether is one of the most original and interesting bands in rock genre.
They are not a small band by any means, these guys are plenty famous and popular. But I do often notice that younger generations don’t always know them. Which is a bit surprising and somewhat disappointing. I mean Seether had big hits in early 2000s, so it’s not like we are talking about distant past. And if there’s a modern rock band everyone should check out – it’s Seether.
They have too many awesome songs. Too many beautiful hits to miss on. They have finest songs for all kind of moods. That’s why I’ve put together this ultimate playlist of their greatest tracks. Hopefully after you listen to it, you’ll want to check their entire discography.

Seether: Bands Biography
Seether is a rock band from South Africa that started in 1999 in Pretoria. At first they were going by the name Saron Gas, but changed it to Seether in 2002 when they moved to the U.S. Shaun Morgan (the band’s lead vocalist and guitarist) has been with the band from the start. Bassist Dale Stewart joined shortly after. John Humphrey came on board as the drummer for their second album. Corey Lowery has been the band’s second guitarist since 2018.
Seether gained major attention in 2002 with their hit single “Fine Again”. The next big spike in popularity came with “Broken” in 2004. It featured Amy Lee, the lead singer of Evanescence. The song made it to number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Over the years the band had many other #1 hits on the rock charts. You might have heard some of them: “Remedy,” “Fake It,” and “Dangerous.” Seether has released 9 studio albums, with their latest “The Surface Seems So Far” coming out in September 2024.

Band’s Musical Style
If you are wondering about Seether’s musical style, it is a mix of hard rock and post-grunge genres. They have a wonderful, rich and satisfying sound that is both heavy and melodic. They have everything one could wish for in a top rock band: great riffs, bass lines, nice drums and exceptional vocals.
Seether is often compared to other grunge bands like Nirvana and Alice in Chains. But they definitely have developed their own unique sound. They got really hard songs, and they also have softer melodic tunes. With that said Seether did make amazing covers on Nirvana songs. I highly recommend checking them.
What Makes Seether Great
So why do I praise Seether so much? Because their music is worth every single good word I said about it. This is a rare case when music is consistently superb and is matched by solid lyrics. This combination keeps hitting home for music fans.
Another thing that I love about Seether is their versatility. They compose and create intense, hard-hitting rock hits. But they can just as easily write more melodic and thoughtful songs. I always put them in a separate category with rock bands like Royal Bliss and Shinedown, who never disappoint. When I turn on their best songs, I know for a fact I will enjoy every one of them.
