Discovering Hidden Music Gems: Royal Bliss

Do you like rock? Or maybe more specifically genres like post-grunge, southern rock, country rock? If so then you should definitely check this great band called Royal Bliss.

For me they were always an easy to go choice when I wanted to have a generous rock sound with excellent vocals, catchy tune (that would stay in my head long after) and nice lyrics. I usually added them to my playlist together with such famous bands as Seether and Shinedown.

However unlike these popular bands Royal Bliss never got similar attention. Why? I wish I knew. Seems like one of the biggest mysteries in the universe. Because the band DOES deserve all the attention and recognition they somehow missed.

Royal Bliss is an American hard rock band that was formed in 1997 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The band consists of Neal Middleton (lead vocals, guitar), Taylor Richards (guitars, vocals), Jake Smith (drums, percussion), and Brian Hennesy (bass, vocals).

Music Style of Royal Bliss

Royal Bliss’s music style is a blend of hard rock, post-grunge, southern rock, and country rock. Their music is rich with heavy guitar riffs, catchy choruses, and powerful vocals. It has a very pleasant fulfilling sound that you don’t get tired of and is perfect to jam to.

Band’s Popularity

Of course, Royal Bliss sill have thousands of fans and you can’t call them completely unknown. But in the grand scheme of things, they kinda are. For example their YouTube channel has less than 40k subscribers. Their Instagram has 24k followers. Big numbers. But compare this to million of subs and followers for Seether and Shinedown, and you will get what I mean by Royal Bliss being relatively unknown. At the same time this is a perfect example that numbers do not tell the whole story, not even close.

So if you haven’t heard about them, I am not surprised. But that’s about to change. Today I offer you one of their signature songs that shows all the great qualities this band has. The songs is called “I Was Drunk”.

As always, for the optimal experience I recommend you to grab you best headphones, or crank up the best speakers, sit back, relax and enjoy.
