Main Facts About Incubus

Incubus is an American rock band founded in 1991 in Calabasas, California. The group was formed by high school friends Brandon Boyd (vocals), Mike Einziger (guitar), and José Pasillas (drums). The latest lineup included Ben Kenney (who was replaced by Nicole Row in 2024 as a new bassist) and DJ Kilmore.

Incubus has released several very successful albums. Their first big break came with the 1999 album Make Yourself. You might have heard their biggest hit from that album, a super song called “Drive.” They continued to gain popularity with albums like “Morning View” (2001) and “A Crow Left of the Murder…” (2004).

To this date the band has released a total of 8 studio albums, plus a few EPs and a greatest hits collection.

Bands That Sound Similar To Incubus

If you are a fan of Incubus and looking for other groups that make similar music, I totally get it. It’s always like that – we find something amazing and we can’t get enough of it, we want more. I do that myself all the time.

Unfortunately there’s no other band that sounds exactly the same as Incubus. It’s yet another reminder of how great these guys are. They truly have unique style and developed their own sound.

But there are some bands that have kinda close sounding elements. For example some of Papa Roach songs do have matching tunes. And you might be surprised but Red Hot Chili Peppers also have somewhat comparable alternative funky vibes. I would also recommend checking Faith No More, you might like ’em very much as well.
