About Kings of Convenience
Kings of Convenience is an indie folk duo from Bergen, Norway. The group was founded by Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe – friends since childhood, who first collaborated in a school band before forming Kings of Convenience in the late 1990s.
The duo debuted with Quiet Is the New Loud in 2001. This gentle and innovative album introduced their signature minimalist style and chill tone. In 2004 they released Riot on an Empty Street, which was well received by fans worldwide. Five years later Declaration of Dependence (2009) came out. After the third album the band was on a long hiatus that lasted near 12 years. They released their fourth album Peace or Love, in 2021.
You’ll find the latest news about the duo on their website.
Kings of Convenience Greatest Song
