About INXS
INXS was formed in 1977 in Sydney, Australia. The band had a stable group of members for most of their career: brothers Andrew, Jon, and Tim Farriss, along with Michael Hutchence, Garry Gary Beers, and Kirk Pengilly. Over their time as a band INXS released 12 studio albums. They are one of Australia’s highest selling artists ever.
Unfortunately, in November 1997 Michael Hutchence was found dead. After his tragic passing INXS continued with various lead singers, but never really re-captured the success or the chemistry they had during his time.
