Fans of Devil May Cry franchise must have been pretty excited when Netflix announced that a new series featuring good ol’ Dante will premiere in April 2025. Well, today, the streaming giant dropped a bombshell with a fresh promo-trailer for the show.

I came across the video in my YouTube suggestions, and boy – was surprised. Not so much by what was actually revealed in the trailer, since it’s just animated opening sequence, but by the music choice for the Devil May Cry credits. It is an iconic nu-metal hit Rollin by Limp Bizkit.

In a somewhat surprising twist, Johnny Yong Bosch (known for voicing Nero in the games) is stepping in as Dante, replacing longtime voice actor Reuben Langdon.

This TV series have been in development since 2018. Netflix first released a sneak peek in September 2023. Then showed a new teaser-trailer in Autumn of 2024. Here it is:

And on January 30, 2025, they dropped the show’s full intro credits:

Devil May Cry Opening Credits Soundtrack

I was already planning to watch the show anyway, but now I’m even more curious to see how it’s turns out. I mean they could have gone with any song or soundtrack for the opening credits, but they chose one of Limp Bizkit’s most popular hits – Rollin’. That’s a bold move, and I want to know if they have more surprises up their sleeve.

Here’s the original music video from 2000:

First of all, I fully approve of their choice to use Limp Bizkit. It definitely brings fresh energy to the show. Right from the start, it feels different. Sure, I know some people love to hate on Bizkit (I even covered this in my Why People Hate Limp Bizkit post), but they’re a minority compared to the band’s massive fanbase.

On top of that, I really like that they chose Rollin’. It’s one of Limp Bizkit’s catchiest hits for a reason – it’s not too heavy, and that signature hook is so easy to roll with 🎵. It perfectly matches the modern Devil May Cry vibe, that I think they are going with. People in the comments section of the credits video seem to like it as well, so it’s a good sign.
